License Agreement for use of Music Track(s)
Set forth below are the terms and conditions governing Beats On Lock web site located at, or linked through to, the root url www.BeatsOnLock.com
By purchasing from BeatsOnLock.com, your agreeing that you are at least 13 of age.
If you are not at least 13 years old, you are required to have a parent or legal guardian purchase for you.
Buying a Non-Exclusive license (”lease”) entitles you to the following:
You have the right to use a song recorded over the licensed beat (”Master Recording”) for up to 1,500 paid commercial or for-profit albums, or the sale/exploitation of 1,500 internet downloads, but not exceeding the 1,500 max in either combination.
You have the right to use the master recording for unlimited non-commercial, non-profit use.
(ie: demo’s, myspace, ect.)
You have the right to use the master recording for one commercial, for-profit medium
(ie: movies, video games, websites) or for soundtrack purposes.
You have the right to use the master recording for unlimited non-profit performances or concerts.
You have the right to use each beat leased purchase for ONE recording or a new license must be obtained.
Note: Non-exclusive licenses can be extended up to one additional time for a total of 3,000 copies, two mediums for soundtrack use at any time, as long as the beat is still available for licensing. If you sell more than 3,000 copies, you would have to contact us to negotiate a royalty contract or an exclusive purchase of that beat.
Non-exclusive rights will remain intact even after exclusive rights have been sold, as long as the purchase was made beforehand.
Buying a Exclusive license (”exclusive rights”) entitles you to the following:
Exclusive beat prices depends on several requirements and are negotiable. Please contact us for further info reguarding prices and requirements for exclusives.
You have the right to use a song recorded over the licensed beat (”Master Recording”) for commercial, for-profit and non-commercial, non-profit use in unlimited mediums, methods, or channels including for soundtrack purposes, for-profit performances, or concerts.
You have the right to use a Master Recording for unlimited radio broadcasts.
You have the right to use the licensed beat by itself for commercial, for-profit and non-commercial, non-profit use in unlimited mediums, methods, or channels including for soundtrack purposes, except for selling the licensed beat solely for listening purposes.
Note: Exclusive licensing does not allow you to re-sell the licensed beat by itself or transfer any of the rights licensed. After purchasing you the exclusive rights, we will remove the beat for purchase and no longer sell any further licenses on the beat.
Terms of Use for Free Beats:
Free Beats cannot be altered in any way and must keep any/all tags that (BeatsOnLock.com) puts in them, usually a small tag somewhere around or at the beginning of the beat. Also free beats cannot be used for any profitable, Commercial, or financially uses. Those would require a license from BeatsOnLock.com.
